Macro channel is a way for diode laser bar heat-disappation. It is like a man in summer, standing on the ice with his feet surface to cooling down. It's different to micro channel cooling laser stack. There are some holes inside macro channel laser for water recycling. The diode laser bars are mounted on a big stack of metal with covered copper directly. They can not 100% contact water. It is not easy for water cooling. The macro channel laser stack needs high profession to do the holes for cooling. It's pecial for the water way design.
