What is TDLAS-WMS
TDLAS-WMS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy with Wavelength Modulation Spectroscopy) is a highly sensitive gas detection and concentration measurement technique. By combining laser absorption with rapid signal modulation, it achieves exceptional sensitivity and immunity to background noise, making it ideal for continuous, non-contact industrial and environmental monitoring.
Laser Tuning: A tunable diode laser emits light at a wavelength specifically chosen to match the target gas's unique molecular absorption lines.
Modulation (WMS): A high-frequency sinusoidal modulation is superimposed on the laser's drive current. This modulates the laser's wavelength rapidly across the gas absorption peak
High Sensitivity: WMS effectively shifts the detection frequency away from the laser’s low-frequency (1/f) noise, greatly improving the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and allowing for trace gas detection in the parts-per-million (ppm) or parts-per-billion (ppb) ranges.
