Nd: GdVO4 laser crystal doped with neodymium-vanadate yttrium-doped neodymium-doped gadolinium vanadate
Nd:GdVO4 (Neodymium doped gadolinium orthovanadate) is an excellent laser crystal for diode pumped lasers. Similar to the Nd:YVO4 crystals, Nd:GdVO4 also exhibits high gain. As well as this the crystal boasts low threshold, high absorption coefficients at pumping wavelengths. The following are the advantages of the Nd:GdVO4:
Low lasing threshold and high slope efficiency;
High absorption coefficients can be achieved at pumping wavelengths;
Low dependency on pump wavelength;
Large stimulated emission cross section at laser wavelength;
Wavefront Distortion: < λ/8 at 633 nm
Scattering: invisible, probed with a He-Ne laser
Dimensional tolerance: +0.1/-0.1 mm
Orientation tolerance: +/-0.5°
Surface quality: 10/5 S/D per MIL-O-13830A
Flatness: λ/10 at 633 nm
Clear Aperture: > Central 90%
Parallelism: < 10 arc sec.
